I woke up this way. . .no really. LOL. I took this photo the other day to send to my husband because my hair absolutely cracked me up. Also, I've been thinking a lot lately about how we must embrace and accept our whole selves and whole voices exactly as we are in order to grow. With compassion, we must gain awareness and acceptance of who and where we are before any action can be taken toward change. So I thought why not post this ridiculous picture? It's the truth after all. And it's FUNNY. Social media is so obsessed with "final product" perfection and shine that its easy to get caught up in compare/despair and less-than mentality. But when we're in that space, we lose the ability to laugh at ourselves. We're robbed of the authenticity, self- acceptance and vulnerability that are vital to becoming the artists we want to be.
