EVERY kid is a singer . . . until someone tells them they’re NOT!

I saw a quote the other day that said “Every child is a singer until someone tells them they’re NOT a singer” This speaks to my soul! I've never once met a kid who doesn't LOVE to sing! Let us not shame little people into thinking they're not singers or they can't "carry a tune". Pitch shaming is a form of abuse that has lifetime repercussions as it robs people of finding the abundance of joy, coping skills and therapeutic benefits singing offers. Singing well is a skill that can be developed like any other. Parents certainly don’t expect their children to be born knowing how to build tables or do calculus, why on earth would we expect these babies to know how to sing well? If you know a child who *loves* to sing (and they likely do!) and you're *not sure* they can - SEND THEM MY WAY! And don't let anyone tell them they can't! #saynotopitchshame
